Under the order of HG Dr.Kuriakose Mor Theophilose Metropolitan, the Syrian Orthodox Church established St. Ignatius Noorono Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church as its parish in Ireland. His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II(Patriarch of Antioch and Supreme Head of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church) and Mor Anthimos Mathews (Patriarchal Vicar of Ireland) are the current patrons of the Church. Fr.Dr.Jobymon Skaria was the parish's first Vicar. HG Dr. Mathews Mor Ivanious, Metropolitan of Kandanadu Diocese led the inaugral Holy Qurbono in 2007.
